1. Unified analytics that are smarter, faster and more intuitive

We love data, so we love this update! Reporting is now more intuitive, smarter, and faster. Unified analytics bring you the most important performance metrics available at a glance.

Analytics stream in real time, and merchants can gather insights with pre-built reports made for commerce, helping you make informed decisions swiftly.

2. AI, everywhere! And purpose-built for commerce

Shopify’s Summer 2024 Edition introduces a comprehensive suite of AI-driven tools and features aimed at enhancing merchant productivity and customer engagement:

3. Intelligent recommendations for product categorisation to improve search

Shopify Magic has also been integrated into the product creation flow. This means that eCommerce businesses can easily generate intelligent and specific recommendations for product categories and attributes, making it easier to categorise products.

Flex sections and style settings

This feature offers extensive customization options for storefront layouts, allowing merchants to easily adjust elements like size, spacing, and layout across different devices.

Hydrogen visual editor

A new tool for headless commerce! It allows both technical and non-technical team members to collaboratively build and edit storefronts in a visual environment. Plus, changes syncing directly to GitHub.

Managed markets

Simplifies international selling by managing tax compliance, duties, and shipping logistics. It includes new features like catalog restrictions and inclusive pricing too.

Enhanced POS system

Updates include one-tap digital receipts, automatic customer information capture, and streamlined return rules. There’s also integration of online and in-store orders, further enhancing the in-store experience​.

B2B enhancements 

New features for B2B merchants include manual payment methods, draft order invoicing, and support for up to 10,000 shipping locations per company​ (Astound Digital)​.

Shop Pay expansion

Now available for non-Shopify enterprise retailers and includes new functionalities like BOPIS (Buy Online, Pickup In-Store) and support for additional payment methods​.
