Working with JOYLAB we developed a new responsive WordPress platform for the Whitechapel Gallery, London. As with any large organisation JOYLAB ensured there was engagement with their stakeholders and gallery visitors to ensure that all needs were fulfilled with the new website. A new site came with new technical challenges for us to work with such as how to link their Online Shop with their E-Ticketing System and tie that in seamlessly with the website. Working closely with the other suppliers we were able to develop a very flexible website that satisfied the needs of the users as well as ensuring all the gallery stakeholders knew what was being worked on all the way through the process. A large development task that we undertook was working with the gallery to decide the best way to manage their content in the back end of the Website, a gallery that puts on hundreds of events needs an easy to use system that is reliable and flexible. We were able to deliver that for them.

whitechapel_gallery_website_mobileProject included:

– Front End Website Development

– Complex Installation of WordPress to manage customisation of pages

– Careful consideration of content such as Events, Exhibitions and Individual Pages

– Integration with 3rd Party Systems, E.G Shopify + Merac

– Flexibility required for layout options within

“David and the team at Atomic Smash have great technical expertise and knowledge as well as a fantastic can do attitude. They worked incredibly hard on the Whitechapel Gallery’s new website to deliver on time and on budget, and we’re looking forward to continuing to develop our site with them in the coming months.”
