Over our years in business, we have developed a great five stage process to run through for each WordPress / WooCommerce project which provides the best results from us, as well as getting the client involved and stuck in. We are also happy to work with other design studios, being a technical development partner on projects.
Research and Requirements Gathering
The first stage in our process is to fully understand the requirements of the website project. By running a thorough workshop involving as many stakeholders and staff members as possible, and analysing the current website, new ideas will often present themselves that are then added into the project brief.
Design
For us, design is more than just how the fonts and colour look online. Great design is ingrained into the very heart of the website, it should inform every decision from the CMS development all the way through to how images look online. Our design process changes from project to project but the focus is always the same – to ensure that our ideas are clearly communicated to the client through wireframes and visual designs shared online.
We often collaborate with other design studios, working with them as a WordPress or WooCommerce partner to help bring their designs into working HTML / CSS prototypes or to work with them to build a fully functioning WordPress / WooCommerce website. Being a development partner allows those studios to focus on the design stage of the process and allows us to maintain a client’s website going forward.
Development + Integration
The largest part of any WordPress or WooCommerce project is the development phase. This is where the majority of the work is carried out, from laying out HTML and CSS styles to developing custom API integrations and configuring WordPress plug-ins. We ensure that communication continues with the client through the development phase so that any changes or decisions can be made quickly. Our whole team is involved in the development process, working closely together ensuring that information is not lost through the project.

Ongoing support and maintenance
We always see our projects as ongoing and the initial development is the first phase. Having an open, ongoing relationship allows for continued meetings to revisit and review the performance of the website. Meeting up regularly is key to the success of any website project.
